Kim Kardashian’s Daughter Chicago West Celebrates 7th Birthday at Cowgirl-Themed Party

Chicago West rang in a new year with a real-life hoedown.

Nearly a week after celebrating Chicago’s 7th birthday with a sweet shoutout, Kim Kardashian shared a glimpse of her daughter’s cowgirl-themed birthday party.

The SKIMS founder kicked off her Jan. 26 Instagram Stories post with a photo of Chicago’s cowboy boot-shaped cake. Following her signature pink and white color scheme, the cake also featured a bandana, rope, a western belt and her nickname “Chi” bordered on the boot. The Kardashians star then showed a behind-the-scenes look into the party’s decorations, which included a table covered in pink gingham cloth, bouquets of flowers and bales of hay for seating.

As Kim teased, “We are setting up for Chicago’s cowgirl-themed birthday party.”

The next few slides showed the birthday girl dressed fittingly for the party, wearing an all-white cowgirl outfit—accessorized with a hat, tassels, chaps, and her name written in silver glitter on the back of her shirt—as Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter hit, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” played in the background.

Kim wore a similar, all-black set as her daughter, sporting a dark bolo tie, matching Louis Vuitton cowboy hat and belt, and denim jeans hidden behind her leather chaps.

The mother-daughter duo weren’t the only guests in style. Kim also shared a video of her son Psalm West, 5, hugging Khloe Kardashian’s youngest Tatum Thompson, 2, with each channeling their inner cowboy.

This isn’t the last time Chicago went all out for her birthday. Last February, Kim celebrated her youngest daughter turning 6 with an all-pink Bratz party.

Kim—who also shares kids North, 11 and Saint, 9, with ex husband Kanye West—has previously shared insight into life as a single mom to her four kids and the difficulties she faces despite having such a robust support system.

“But sometimes in the middle of the night when they're all sleeping in your bed, kicking you and crying and waking up—it’s not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment,” she explained on the What in the Winkler? podcast last year, “Or people always will jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help.’ I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, I’m basically raising four kids by myself.”

But amid juggling schedules and carpool, she tries to not be too hard on herself, noting, “You got to give yourself grace.”
