Benny Blanco Changed His Mind on Taylor Swift
Benny Blanco has not always been a Swiftie, but his fiancée Selena Gomez changed that when the couple began dating.
During a recent interview with In Style, Benny Blanco opened up a little bit about his relationship with Selena Gomez, revealing that the pair actually bonded over Taylor Swift's music early in their relationship.
While Blanco admits that he was not always a devoted Taylor Swift fan and doesn't actually even listen to a lot of modern music of any kind, Gomez is "a true Swiftie, through and through." And after she played him some of Taylor's music, he has now officially changed his mind on the artist and is a "full Swiftie."
“In the car, we'll have our little Swiftie moment,” Blanco told In Style in an article that was published on Wednesday. “She's a true Swiftie, through and through. Then she got me on the train, and now I'm a full Swiftie. I don't listen to a ton of contemporary music anyways, but Selena would play me the deep cuts. And I was like, ‘Damn… Taylor's pen is so fire!”
Obviously, Selena Gomez is not just a fan of Taylor's music, but she is actually a longtime friend of the pop sensation. Now that Blanco and Gomez are engaged, it sounds like her interests are now his interests.
And it sounds like he is nothing but glad to be able to share his life with her.
“I met Selena when she was 16,” Blanco told In Style. “We didn’t work together until many years later. They say you've probably already met the person that you're gonna spend the rest of your life with… I never believed that [stuff] until it happened to me.”
“And now I get to kiss her,” he adds. “It’s like my own little fairytale I concocted.”
