Benny Blanco Reveals Wedding Plans with Selena Gomez and Which Celebrity Already Made the Guest List

Benny Blanco is addressing rumors about his wedding date.

During his appearance on Australia's Today show on Wednesday, June 4, Blanco, 37, shut down speculation that his wedding with his fiancée Selena Gomez, 32, is coming up soon.

In late May, Ed Sheeran revealed while taking part in Vanity Fair's "Lie Detector Test" series that the I Said I Love You First… collaborators already invited him to their nuptials, which led some fans to believe that Blanco and Gomez already sent out their save-the-dates to everyone on their guest list. However, Blanco clarified that he hasn't set a wedding date quite yet, and that his message to Sheeran was more of a casual heads up rather than a formal invitation.

"I just told him, I was like I'm going to have a wedding and you're going to come to the wedding," Blanco told Australia's Today show.

The music producer continued, "Eventually Ed will come to our wedding when we do have one, but unfortunately, we have not scheduled one yet. But we will."

Since the "Good For You" singer announced her engagement to Blanco in December 2024, Blanco told the outlet that his life has been "great" and "couldn't be better."

Blanco has maintained that he and Gomez are in the very early stages of wedding planning, saying on the April 30 episode of the Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware podcast that they "haven't figured out anything" about their wedding apart from including the Jewish dish challah.

Elsewhere in the podcast, Gomez said that she and her fiancé are considering not having a bride and groom first dance at their reception.

“I don’t think we’re looking at having one of those ‘cause they’re a little — I feel embarrassed,” Gomez said before Blanco chimed in, adding, “She’s shy.”

However, Gomez noted that she would be including a “special dance” with her grandfather on her mother’s side. Additionally, she will also be participating in the Jewish wedding tradition of doing the Hora, or the "chair dance," but she is admittedly "very nervous" about it.

During her appearance on the Today show in March, the "Bluest Flame" singer shared that she wasn't trying to rush wedding planning because she wants to "enjoy" her engagement.

"To be honest, I’m just enjoying us in this moment, and yeah, then we’ll get to start the craziness," she said.
