Benny Blanco Sells N.Y.C. Bachelor Pad for $3.6 Million amid Engagement to Selena Gomez
Benny Blanco is moving on from his home in New York City as he and Selena Gomez get ready to tie the knot.
Nine months after listing his longtime Chelsea condo for $3.99 million in June 2024, the 37-year-old producer accepted an offer for $3.6 million. Realtor.com was the first to report on the sale, which closed on March 27.
The listing on the 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom 2,200 sq. ft. property was held by John Gomes, Jacqueline Wilde and Fredrik Eklund of Douglas Elliman. After seeking nearly $4 million, Blanco later dropped the price to $3.75 million, before accepting the winning bid for nearly $400,000 under the original asking.
He purchased the property near Manhattan's famed High Line park for $3.4 million in 2011, and it recently underwent an extensive renovation.
While Blanco embraced a more eccentric aesthetic in his Los Angeles property, which he showed off in a tour for Architectural Digest, his New York condo was more spare with white walls and simple furniture with sleek lines.
Blanco and Gomez announced their engagement in December 2024, a year after they went public with their relationship.
Although they've been engaged for a few months, the couple isn't rushing to plan their big day. During a March 2025 appearance on the Today show, Gomez explained that she and Blanco were both busy with work.
"I’m actually shooting season 5 of Only Murders right now," she noted. "You know, he has to do some work stuff, too. To be honest, I’m just enjoying us in this moment, and yeah, then we’ll get to start the craziness."
However, she did have one demand of her Only Murders in the Building costars for her big day.
The "Sunset Blvd." singer was asked on the March 27 episode of the Drew Barrymore Show about whether she was planning to have Steve Martin, 79, and Martin Short, 75, "officiate" her wedding.
"Oh my gosh! I hadn't even thought about that," Gomez admitted.
However, she told host Drew Barrymore that at least one of them had another important role to play during the celebration. She revealed that "Marty is due to give a speech," adding, "I told him he must."
"Steve will probably pull out his banjo," she continued, referring to the Father of the Bride star's musical talents. "But I feel like Marty would have an epic speech."
