It's time to keep up with Kim Kardashian's first husband Damon Thomas.
The reality star made a rare reference to her ex on the March 6 episode of The Kardashians, revealing that sister Khloe Kardashian helped her through the couple's divorce during the early aughts.
"When I was getting my first divorce, I moved out and I had no money," Kim recounted, explaining how Khloe offered up all the money in her piggy bank at the time to help pay for separation costs. "She gave me her life savings."
According to the SKIMS mogul, Khloe had saved up roughly $6,000, which was "just enough for me to get the down payment on my apartment."
And for Khloe, she didn't think twice about getting her sister out from a bind.
"She was crying in my room," the Good American co-founder recalled in a confessional of her own, adding that she immediately grabbed her piggy bank and told Kim, "'Let’s take what’s in here, go to the bank and cash it—and let's use this money for your divorce.'"

Kim eloped with Damon Thomas in 2000, when she was 19 and he was 28.
"I used to be so dependent on the guys I was in a relationship with," Kim reflected in a 2011 Harper’s Bazaar interview. "I don’t know why, because I wasn't raised that way. If I looked at myself at 19, I would shake myself and be like, 'Wake up; you are way too smart for this.'"
When did Kim Kardashian meet Damon Thomas?
According to Damon, the two first met at a recording studio in 1998, when he was working as a music producer for 3T—an R&B group comprised of Michael Jackson's nephews Taj Jackson, Taryll Jackson and TJ Jackson—who Kim dated in high school. Damon said the two crossed paths again at Neverland Ranch, before Kim reached out to their mutual friend and singer Kevon Edmonds.
"She asked him who he was working with, and he said me," Damon recalled in 2022 interview with VladTV. "And she said, 'Well, can you put me in contact with him?'"
He continued, "So, it wasn't what people may say or think it was."

The two tied the knot in Las Vegas. According to Kim, it was Damon's idea and she went along with it.
"I got married on ecstasy," she shared on a 2018 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. "I did ecstasy once and I got married, I did it again and I made a sex tape [with ex-boyfriend Ray J]. Like everything bad would happen."
