Khloe Kardashian Reacts to Daughter True Thinking She’s Married to Tristan Thompson
Khloe Kardashian is sharing daughter True Thompson’s perspective.
As the Good American cofounder—also parent to son Tatum Thompson, 2, with ex Tristan Thompson—explained, their 6-year-old is under the assumption her mom and dad are actually husband and wife.
“True thinks me and Tristan are married,” Khloe told BFF Malika Haqq during the March 6 episode of The Kardashians. “It is the right thing to do, in my opinion—get married, have kids. That’s what I wanna teach her.”
However, Khloe is determined to eventually set the record straight when that time comes.
“The only thing that bothers me about that would be—I don’t want True going through life thinking, ‘This is what a marriage is,’” she shared during a confessional. “That, ‘Oh, you’re married to someone and they don’t live with you. And you never have to kiss them or you don’t sleep in the same bed together.’ I would love my kids to see me have a husband one day and I love for them to see love and affection and romance. I do want them to have that.”
But at the moment, Khloe—who split from Tristan in 2021 after being on-and-off for years—is okay with True’s outlook on their coparenting relationship.
“When she’s older I can explain it to her,” Khloe admitted, “but right now, I believe you do things for your kids because kids should not be involved in adult problems.”
That said, the Kardashians star, 40, is also enjoying being a single woman.
“I’m doing things, but I’m not on Hinge, I’m not on Raya,” she later told Malika at lunch, “I’m not on all these things, and I don’t want to be. I’m fine.”
Khloe’s latest comments about her family dynamic come shortly after she opened up about her “anxiety” over rumors she and the NBA star were reconciling.
"My family, my circle, they know that Tristan and I, we’re not together,” Khloe said during the show’s Feb. 20 episode while discussing her and her kids attending Tristan’s game. “But it's sad that I had a lot of anxiety because of outside noise."
However, Khloe decided to shut out the chatter and made an appearance with their two children.
"It was such a great experience for my kids," she added. "They were so happy."
