Proof Selena Gomez and Fiancé Benny Blanco Will Drop a Music Video Sooner Than You Think

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s cinematic universe is expanding.

Nearly two weeks after the couple announced their joint album, I Said I Love You First, will release in March, they’re upping the romantic ante with another collaboration: a potential music video.

The duo—who got engaged last December after more than a year of dating—was seen filming a project in California on Feb. 22, and the atmosphere felt like a nod to their upcoming album. In one photo, Selena strutted through a crowded set in black lingerie and a red lip, her signature bob styled with a few curls.

While the 32-year-old’s outfit reminded of her music video for 2016’s “Hands To Myself,” Benny leaned into some late Valentine’s Day vibes with his look, sporting a reddish brown suit with a silk patterned shirt.

It’s not clear if Selena and Benny, 36, are filming a video for I Said I Love You First, as this production looks bigger than the small-scale visuals they’ve released so far. The lyric video for the album’s lead single “Scared of Loving You,” which dropped on Feb. 13, had a camcorder-inspired edge to it, nearly every clip an intimate moment of them lying in bed or holding hands.

Meanwhile, their latest collaboration with Gracie Abrams, “Call Me When You Break Up,” was largely filmed on an iPhone.

Benny isn’t just expressing his love for Selena through their music. In fact, he’s been openly praising her for months. For Valentine’s Day, the producer gifted the Only Murders in the Building star a bathtub filled with nacho cheese and explained why she is his “f--king heroin and Xanax combined.”

“Whenever I’m feeling anything but perfect, [Selena] knows the exact thing to say,” Benny said in their joint Feb. 14 interview for Interview. “I’m so pissed that it took this long. It’s like, ‘How did we not figure this out sooner?’”
